Emily Kanitz

Emily grew up in Traverse City and spent 13 years working for a large multinational corporation in West Michigan. After moving back north in 2020, she volunteered with 5Loaves2Fish for a year before leaving corporate life and taking on the position of Operations Director for 5Loaves2Fish. After two years she transitioned into a volunteer role as Director of Finance. Emily is continually in awe of the way 5Loaves2Fish facilitates community connections and the incredible people making it possible. The ability of nourishing food to bring a moment of pause or normalcy to community guests is inspiring. She lives in Suttons Bay with her husband, young son, and yellow lab.
